Well, in the meantime i have already deinstalled the old version and
installed the new one. After some tinkering i discovered that my entire
database was there and seem to be intact. What a relief! But there are
still a few issues:

I keep getting the message that the DATABASE IS LOCKED.

I have a database of 13,500 (only words); this is divided in about 15
categories. In the old version on the second menu item, called Deck, i
could see all the categories and specify which one i wanted to work with. I
don't see categories anymore. In the new version i am stuck with a bunch of
cards in a category that i have not used yet and i can't seem to get out of
it.

Somehow, somewhere i saw a layout of the deck and it was a tremendous
improvement. I am just not yet at the stage of enjoying the enhancement
because i am unable to get the basics to work. Any help on this will be
greatly appreciated.
