Very Precise and well summarized Amar!
I completely agree and since I also lost my clarity just this year in the early
months so it has been extremely difficult to manage my job along with emotional
stress however I was determined not to give up and learnt the screen reader
just few months back in July this year and back to work in full swing.
It has been very challenging in the beginning however kept on researching to
find various solutions and still learning.
Good luck!
Stay blessed!

Hi Prerna,

While I understand the emotional complexities of acquiring late blindness, but
the fact is that now you got to accept it and decide for yourself to make the
best of your career, and life.

I appreciate that you have made a good start by learning to deal with assistive
technology. Now, our focus should be to:

1. Identify your key strengths;

2. Outline potential challenges;

3. Figure out critical limitations if any;

4. Design strategies and solutions; and

5. Reach out to people with blindness who match your career profile and gain an
understanding of what their strategies are.

Life need not stop because of blindness, you are still a human with a lot of
dreams and goals Prerna. What has only changed is the fact that your eyesight
does not exist. But the life, your career, your qualities, your dreams, your
self respect and dignity, all of it exist. Accept yourself, your such difficult
challenge which has brought your life to a grinding halt, and then think
yourself as to whether you can give a more difficult fight to your challenge. I
am sure you can, are you sure too? Make a start Prerna, no point in thinking
over what has happened. You can call / email me, if you need, and please also
describe your career profile in more concrete terms, so that we can connect
with right individuals. I have some people in mind who may set you to get
started.

Hope to see this Prerna to be a cutting edge successful professional soon.

Regards,
Amar Jain
