i was thinking 'brighten the corners' isn't quite a sellout album..but more
like the culmination of frustration in dealing with a major label. i think
it comes through in songs like 'passat dream' and a couple others. although
pave is still one of my fav bands and 'b.t.c' is still a decent album it
just seems lacking compared to the others. of course the major label could
be just a convenient scapegoat for this and real reason that they sound
'lacking' to me may be that they're getting old or they finally smoked too
much dope....
regardless, i'm curious about the new MM record and i know it won't flat-out
suck, but i think it may be different...Isaac's semi-sloppy vocal overdubs
will probably be out of the picture, for example...
