*read this with slurred speech in mind*

During my last trip to NYC I stopped into this joint. While I can openly
admit to being so smashed that I missed seeing a stripper disrobe (as my
friends told me the next morning as I fought promised myself not to EVER
drink again... 'til that evening at least), I must say that I had a good
time. There was a quite a strange mix of folk there that is for sure. A
mish-mash (yiddish slang for mixture) of mod's/soul kids/psychs/yuppies. But
the music made me kick up my heels a bit...I was a bit disgruntled when I
asked if the DJ had any Northern and his reply was "What? Northern?" Has
Northern become 'unfashionable'? Did I miss that memo?
Even still...tip of the hat to the Suite folk for hosting this night, and to
the promoters for an evening of good soul music...Can you tell I've been
saucing a bit today? I love my day's off!
