Afraid you might have to make that Time Warner/AOL/EMI seeing as they've put
a bid in on EMI too (subject to monopolies commission) - so what back
catalogue does that add up to (isn't Blue Note owned by EMI these days)?
As for Brian's comments about 'home taping' - bang on - I used to tape loads
of stuff when I was younger and cashless, and now I don't even have a tape
player hooked up, and what tapes are left are in the garage. Like buying
videos of films you'll watch twice, it never pays to underestimate how much
people like to own things.
