I too began with the Beatles... helluva start!
As an immediate sugestion well...I've talked about these guys a few week
back. I just got this messge earlier today so if you can get there you are
in luck:
"The Shazam open for Paul Weller this Saturday (London)--in front of 15,000
punters, as the English like call paying customers."
I don't know if you can get there, but if not, maybe there's a uk edition
of some of their stuff... I'd reccommend their latest "Godspeed the
Shazam"... their debut is more power pop. You can always order them from
the US (www.notlame.com).
Maybe you should check other bands that've been mentioned here recently
like the Moment but IMHO you've GOT TO check the Television
Personalities... believe me Dan Treacy is the MODest of 'em all!... their
"Previledge" cd is a great start and was re-released by Fire recs.
