I'm afraid I've never read any Paolo Hewitt or Terry Rawlings.

I didn't say people couldn't be into the Small Faces or Weller - but
'being into Weller' is 'being into Weller'. It's not being into *mod*.
Can you understand what I'm saying now?

I believe that 'mod' is a philosophy - or rather a 'way of life'.
Something you can live or NOT live. Like being a Christian or NOT being
a Christian. You can't be *into* Christianity. Maybe you can be into
'love thy neighbour' and dig old churches - but it's not the same thing.
Equally true of mod (In my opinion).

Don't know why you bring up 'Green Onions'..... as a mod I chose to
spend my money on things other than the Green Onions LP.... I still
don't have that LP (only a tape) - in fact it's not even that good.....
I certainly don't think I'd waste money buying the original vinyl (as a
lot of 'mods' on here would) - better spent on clothes or something....

Cheers,
Paul

PS. Dominic has got no right to talk about 'mod' because, as he has
himself admitted, he wears a puffa jacket... -ahem-
