I found the problem, and it was neither apache nor mod_ssl that was
at fault. The new apache's support for persistent connections exposed
a bug in my CGI front-end. It was reading to end-of-file, instead of
only reading CONTENT_LENGTH, which caused the POST operation to hang.
Thanks for a fine product. I'm quite pleased with mod_ssl.
