mod_ssl 2.4.2 is supposed to be built against OpenSSL 0.9.4, not 0.9.3a.
 You should start over as I suggested in my last message, only use the
newer OpenSSL version this time.

I've tried OpenSSL 0.9.4 with the last 3 mod_ssl versions and none of them
worked.
Compilation went just fine but when connecting with https: the ssl module in
apache
generated a segmentation fault. OpenSSL 0.9.3a however doesn't have this
problem
and works just fine with mod_ssl 2.4.2!!
