For NT users, it is probably easiest to download the source from
https://www.opensa.org.  This distribution contains MSVC projects for
OpenSSL, mod_ssl, and Apache, (and PHP if you need that as well).

You can build everything visually in less than an hour.

A couple of things I learned building this package:

a) default configuration is Release.  If you want a debug version you need
to reset the project settings

b) you may want to disable your virus scanner if it automatically scans
changed files.  Mine caused the build to take much longer than necessary.

c) make sure to follow the instructions for copying the OpenSSL includes and
libraries exactly after building these BEFORE building mod_ssl.  The project
uses relative paths for include and lib directories.
