Apache/1.3.14 (Unix) FrontPage/4.0.4.3 PHP/4.0.3pl1 mod_perl/1.24
mod_ssl/2.7.1 OpenSSL/0.9.6

I'm running on FreeBSD, recompiling the thing with all the crap that I added
in is a pain. What I might do is just goto Apache 1.3.12, with the prevous
release of mod_ssl, unless it's proben that the problem most likely lies
within OpenSSL.

When I get some time I'll check it out, but I just dont have much right now.

Which version of OpenSSL are you running? 0.9.6 or 0.9.5a? From RPM or
src? If from RPM, from where? If one or the other, can you switch?
This appears to be some sort of problem between the compiler included with
RH7 (have you applied all the latest updates especially glibc and gcc
updates?)
