There is one reason I *do* like the underscore to indicate non-production releases: the information is retained in the installed module. META.yml is not available in the final tree, so it becomes harder to figure out later that you have forgotten to upgrade the module to a final release. This is not a big issue, but I hope any "new" way to designate developer releases will leave some kind of mark both in the distribution filename and in the installed module tree. Cheers, -Jan
