One word, Dave: False Positives.
This has been a problem with many of my users - specifically with respect to attachments. Now maybe thats different because attachment blocking is usually related to viruses, not necessarily spam.
But I've had some profanity-filled messages I've shared with friends that have also been blocked by the anti-spam filters (damn my potty mouth!).
While I agree the vast majority of quarantined messages can be safely deleted, I like having the ability to release stuff as needed.
Haven't installed M3 yet - waiting to see what issues you guinea pigs find! :-)

If Modus 3 is so accurate at detecting SPAM, is there a reason to have it quarantine messages as opposed to just deleting them? Seems like a large amount of hard drive space and database load for very little reason. We never announced the quarantine functionality to our users and set them all to Delete messages by default. A few users have changed to quarantine on their own over the past year, but not many. I'm almost thinking about getting rid of the quarantine altogether. I never really "got it" when it came to the quarantine. Am I missing something big?

If a user releases a message from the QT report, they are given the option to add that email address to their WL.

I like to see the end user able to whitelist emails from the quarantine report sent to them. But thats not a webmail feature. I think for this to happen I would need to learn xml. I don't see that happening.
