Luiz,

Vircom have offered the upgrade as part off your support plan, and since all Modus
Mail users have a support plan (otherwise you don't get updates for Virus or Seive) it
is a reasonable request.

Modus Mail has not changed the specifications for the underlying OS, and still runs on
Windows NT 4 hence everyone should be able to upgrade. In addition the resources used
by Modus 3 appear to be lower and those on the older OS may in fact benefit by this.

The only downside to upgrading if you are on NT 4 is that you loose the Modus Web
Admin functionality and would need to modify the Modus Web Mail app to eliminate the
links to this.

Michal,

I know that modusMail 1.x is a rather old version, but discontinuing
anti-virus updates with a 25 day advance notice is not very responsible,
IMHO.

I would ask Vircom to keep updating at least the virus definitions for a
couple of months.
