I'm an enterprise user running W2K and I use NT auth for ~350 users with no problems. It works so I've never seen a need to change.

Subject: [Modus] quick question

I am a small ISP with about 800 customers.  We are running windows 2000 but have setup modus to make email accounts automaically for NT users.  Being that we are running windows 2000 and not windows NT should I change the authinication to LDAP instead of NT database?  Does it do anything different?  And how would I setup LDAP?  When I try to stard the LDAP service in modus I get an error in the event log.

Could not connect to the logging database. Data source: DetaBase Error code: -1 Explanation: Data source name not found and no default driver specified Error source: State:IM002,Native:0,Origin:[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager

Do I need to setup LDAP with ODBC?

I thought Active directory was LDAP
