If its showing up as a corrupted attachment, you need to disable that in the
anti-virus/preferences section. Choose the "customize" button. There you
will see "infected files" and "corrupted files". Disable corrupt attachments
and see if he can send it.
Its possible modus sees his attachment as corrupt.
