This depends on how the interface was designed. Hiding stuff can
sometimes make things look incomplete and would confuse the user more.
The key is to get a good base design.

By nature the Modus Web Admin is written for the .Net Framework (not
sure if it is VB.Net or C#, but would guess at VB.Net), which does allow
all controls to be marked visible=false to hide them. Providing the
pages were well set-up this would be easy.

Another point to note here is that it is one off the most complex
arrangements for a .Net web application that I have seen. Using a
combination off User Controls and Custom Controls tocomplete the user
interface. However, there does not appear to be any separation in the
code. The User Interface is defined in the User Controls which also
appears to contain all the back end routines.

The funny thing here is, and I mentioned this a bit ago, that someone
sat
and created the code to make the little pad-locks show up when an option
is
locked out ..... it could as easily hidden the option from view.

Vircom - Feature Request. Hide locked out options from Webmail.

My customers get pissy when I dangle options in their face that they
cannot
use.
