* This is the modus mailing list * Thanks again Jim.
Ryan ESI Hi Ryan, We only had about 700 webmail boxes. I am guessing that it is possible to automate some of this (creating directories, etc), so that we didn't have to login as the user and then move everything. I was concerned however with permissions, and ensuring that their folders showed up correctly with IMAP. Just copying the files to their modusMail mailbox directory doesn't make the folders show up when they log into the MM3 Webmail. One thing that did end up happening, is that some users had already logged in, so it was a simple copy of their .MAB and .INI file to their webmail directory, and then copying their 'sent mail' to their modusMail mailbox directory. Luckily we didn't have a ton of users that had a bunch of different folders. Also, by default, there is the INBOX, SENT ITEMS, and DRAFTS folders. You can delete the "Inbox", as it will automatically get re-created. The Drafts on the other hand is a pain in the *ss. You have to add a dummy folder while logged into the web based email, move those messages to the dummy folder in their modusMail mailbox, then from the web based folder you move them to the draft folder. Those were the worst ones! The majority of my customers only had messages in the "Sent Items" folder, so that helped. Have fun, and let me know if you have any questions.
