In  my  exp -- and you allude to this at the end of your post -- it is
still  best  to  pretend  there  is  no  such thing as "Webkit" from a
testing perspective.

I  can  get  a  "strong inkling" that something will work in Saf if it
works  in  Chrome,  but I am quite frequently bitten by any assumption
beyond  that. Been analyzing CSS diffs between Saf 4 and Chrome 5 much
of  the  day today. I don't know how Saf manages to suck, but it does.
And  so  even with a cosmetic thing, if you want it to be the same, if
you  want  your screenshots to look alike, gotta have 'em all open, as
you say.

[Obvs.  on the mobile side it is all but impossible to trust something
without owning the mobile or a perfect emulator.]
