Jonathan, is JxLib based on mootools 1.3? It seems 1.2 If I can, I'd like to spend 2 words about your project. I think it's probably really good, but I didn't tried it yet. I'm still trying to choose the right one for me. Anyway, I'm a programmer (see also http://reghellin.com/milkbox :P) but ALSO a designer. Don't know if I'm more a designer or a programmer. I'm not a native of any of the 2. BUT, as a designer, I must say that your app simply do not have a good theme. And even if I see you can change it, and I guess one can probably customize it, I think that if you want to catch more 'customers', you should 1. improve the default theme, 2. clearly show it in the home, maybe with screenshots, 3. clearly specify (if possible) that one could customize it, and how. About this last point anyway, I think that, as far as you come up with a good default theme (like extjs? :P) probably there's no really need of any change/ customize system: you could concentrate solely on the other features of your framework.
Please excuse me, I wrote these things with the meaning of help. Elso excuse me if my english's not so good.
