Claude I think your answer is too simplistic. Sometimes you're right. Some dealers are relying on pre-Ebay pricing structures that are no longer accurate. Sometimes however a dealer can post some decent merchandise for $.99 but because this dealer doesn't have an active following, their auctions just don't take fire on Ebay. Ebay is just a marketplace and Ebay does NOTHING to promote its auctions. Hence some dealers just can't get buyers to their auctions. That's why it's necessary to actively market, an endeavor that Ebay actively discourages because it doesn't want the dealer to sell outside of Ebay. The reality as I see it is that sometimes a $10 item will sell for $100 and other times a $100 item will sell for $10. It's just not as clear-cut and one-sided as you see it.
