Hi MOPO,
It would be a mistake to say that the value of a poster is what is sells for
at ebay auctions.
There are still multiple markets for posters. I have sold items in my ebay
store that went begging for less in my ebay auctions. There are many
occasional ebay buyers who don't follow ebay that closely, but do logon from
time to
time to make a purchase.
Recently, I sold items at a show for more than I had asked at ebay auction.
Sometimes the right buyer just comes along. Ask dealers like Kirby who does a
thriving off-ebay business.
Bruce operates under a unique business model. He can offer everything for
.99 because
1. Most of his auctions are consignments. He takes no risk. In fact, it's
better for him that an item sell cheap than not at all.
2. He generates so much more traffic than anyone else.
3. Because of his volume of sales, the items that sell low are more than
made up for by the items that high.
Happy Halloween, Michael
