Well, I have virtually every single-sided poster linen backed. I feel it improves the presentation and preservation. If a poster was Mint before backing, I actually lower the grade to Near-Mint after backing because I don't feel it's fair to call a poster Mint if it has had anything done to it. Having said that, I believe that my Mint copy of Gone With the Wind, Style CF is just as valuable as Near Mint linen backed as it was Mint unbacked.
