That is one thing that is ALWAYS true. Try to BUY an item from a
dealer, and he will tell you it just sold at auction for $1,195. But
try to SELL that same item to that same dealer, and he will tell you
it just sold at auction for $1,000!
Close - buy from a dealer and he will tell you the $1195 price, sell
to a dealer and he will mention that the consignor just sold his for
$850
Personally, I always add that you're waiting an eternity for your
money from the auction house, plus there's no guarantee that YOUR
copy will get that much...
