I'm no musician, but I AM a pro gambler, and it was 100% Adam Lambert would
lose with one week to go.

Why?

Because they announced on the show with 3 people that one million votes
separated the top two, and then Gokey was voted off.

Since it was 99.9% sure that everyone who voted for Lambert or Allen when
there were 3 people would vote exactly the same when there were two people,
it meant that those people who voted for Gokey would decide the winner, if
over one million more of them voted for either Lambert or Allen.

Gee, that was tough. Gokey was a church going widower, and those voters who
liked those qualities had to choose between a church going married nice guy
from a little town, or a flamboyent guy who wore makeup (forget his
sexuality, although that surely didn't help).

I don't think singing ability had anything to do with it, and that is the
fatal flaw with American Idol.

For that matter, there is the same flaw with politics. How many governors or
Presidents have been elected the past 30 years who WEREN'T photogenic, and
charismatic?

That is why our country is in the mess it is in. The clowns and crooks who
are running it have no clue how bad their decisions are, and to make matters
worse, they often make their decisions on the basis of popularity polls.
