Absolutely agree. Excessive airbrushing and other techniques to make posters
appear Œbrand new¹/near mint, to disguise serious and
(much more unfortunately, as Richard gives an example of) not really serious
damage at all, has always been a time-bomb in terms of the long term
desirability and value of the items it¹s been practiced on.

It¹s also inevitably contributed to the environment in which these fakes
could be conceived of.
