One of the biggest scams of all modern poster linen backing is the STAR WARS hairy belts. Lots of these get passed off as originals.
A year or so back, a seller on eBay was offering these a couple a week for several weeks, sold as originals for a BIN of $150 or thereabouts. Of course in recent events I now wish I had kept a screenshot of his boilerplate. Unfortunately, one sees far too many frauds and fakes ofered on eBay as originals to send up a red flag every time.
