One of the biggest scams of all modern poster linen backing is the STAR WARS
hairy belts.
Lots of these get passed off as originals.

A year or so back, a seller on eBay was offering these a couple a week for
several weeks, sold as originals
for a BIN of $150 or thereabouts.

Of course in recent events I now wish I had kept a screenshot of his
boilerplate. Unfortunately, one sees
far too many frauds and fakes ofered on eBay as originals to send up a red flag
every time.

Bruce's auction today contains a textbook example of how insane the whole

a 2006 movie poster? And then do a poor job of it?

10 bids on this offense to nature which have pushed it up to $39 with 3 hours
still to go...
