I don't think the government is lying. Things are slowly improving. I guess it depends a lot on what state you live in. I notice that restaurants in New York are becoming crowded again. In January 2009, they were empty. Tourists have begun coming back to the city in droves and the legit theaters are selling out again. There also seems to be a lot more part-time and contract employment opportunities and several friends have reported being hired recently. FRANC
