Companies are getting remarkably good screwing down unnecessary costs
to maximize profit.
Perhaps they thought there was a justifiable cost saving in having
less staff and being slower to ship out, albeit at the expense of a
silly little thing like customer service.

Buying from auction houses over the past 20 + years it was always
customary to get a notification of shipping within 2-3 days after
making payment. However, in the last few years I have noticed
auction houses are now shipping 7, 10 or more days after payment.
With Heritage I traditional had good luck when I requested to have
shipping expedited; until recently. I just got a note Heritage
shipping that shipping takes AT LEAST seven day to get an order
out. And, if I wanted to expedite shipping there would be an extra
“convenience fee” as she called it. You would think when someone
spends 40-50k a year on your auction, they would provide a better
level of customer service. This is why I am buying more and more
from “preferred” eBay sellers who are far more customer service
conscious. It would be great one day to have enough preferred
sellers that I can eventually bypass these auction houses altogether.
Ok, I’m done ranting……..
