I'm sorry, I think you've forgotten what you learned in your econ classes. The price of popcorn is not related to the percentage of the gate. They would charge $100 for a small popcorn if the audience would pay it. Certainly you don't believe that if the studios reduced their percentage, the theaters would charge less, do you?? Really??
