Sean-No, I didn't bid because I saw how hammered the piece was prior to 
restoration. But I was appreciative of the auction house for supplying the 
"before" photo. And you are right, it is up to the consignor (or owner, in this 
case) to supply or not supply the "before" images. The owner chose not to. And 
I choose not to bid. I'm sure Grey & his accomodating staff would be delighted 
to show me whatever posters I desire to examine in person, but they cannot show 
me the unrestored pieces now, and I haven' seen most of the unrestored images...
