Hi Adrian That is true but quite a few auction houses actually recommend to clients that they should get their posters or lobby cards paper backed or linen backed before placing them in auction. The theory is that it might be worth getting the item backed to achieve a better price. The auction house often handles the backing for the client. Nothing at all wrong with that and it sometimes gets the desired result. Regards John
