something that should be taken into consideration about the Action #1 is that it is one of the most important "first editions" of the 20th century there is no comparable movie poster as it is the film(s) that are the cultural phenom (such as King Kong) as opposed to the poster.

on the amount of copies.. there have always been estimates of approx 200 copies extant, but of those 200, only 3 are known to be of this quality. The Mile High copy has not been graded, but is a bit nicer than even the two copies that have sold in 9.0 and it is suspected that copy could sell in excess of $5mil

Pretty unbelievable, especially considering the amount of copies out there!!
Of course, this example was supposedly the highest grade.

I'm sure this price will now also raise the value of all the lower grade examples.

I sometimes think it would have been a much smarter move collecting and investing in comic books over the last 51+ years than movie posters. Rare comics are much easier to find than rare movie posters and they're a lot easier to sell.
The problem is, I never liked them nearly as much.

But there's a huge difference in the amount of collectors of comic books compared to movie posters.

Though the final price was about 3.2 million. 13 pre-approved bidders placed individual bids (from lowest to highest) in excess of 1.5 million dollars for an item of which there may be 100 more.

My guess is 5.4 million.

I'm guessing way high for no particular reason.
