Apparently the two best examples of this comic were graded 9.0 but the owner of the one that just sold says that his comic is far superior in condition to the one that previously sold for 2.1mill. Does that indicate that the grading system and slabbing might not be as reliable as it should be? "This particular copy is the nicest that has ever been graded, with an ASTONISHING grade of CGC 9.0 ! To date, no copies have been graded higher and only one other copy has received the same grade. It is fair to say though that this copy blows the other 9.0 out of the water. Compared to the other 9.0 that sold for $2.1million several years ago it has significant superior eye appeal, extremely vibrant colors and PERFECT WHITE PAGES." The Mile High copy has not been graded, but is a bit nicer than even the two copies that have sold in 9.0 and it is suspected that copy could sell in excess of $5mil At 12:10 PM 8/25/2014, Todd wrote: Pretty unbelievable, especially considering the amount of copies out there!! I sometimes think it would have been a much smarter move collecting and investing in comic books over the last 51+ years than movie posters. Rare comics are much easier to find than rare movie posters and they're a lot easier to sell. The problem is, I never liked them nearly as much. But there's a huge difference in the amount of collectors of comic books compared to movie posters.
