Thanks for pointing this out to me. I have no doubt Kirby is a great gentleman and I apologize to Kirby if people thought I was suggesting that he was not. His playful e-mail was first up and that is the only reason it was in response to him. I have no doubt that he would aid the damsel in distress. I also apologize to the rest of MOPO for what is now obvious to me - that you guys have no idea what my e-mails are referring to. I was under the impression that there had been a couple of discussions on this subject already. As far as throwing it out in the open, to divulge all the details would be irresponsible since, as I said in my first e-mail, that it is only an "alleged" incident. Essentially (as could have been predicted) now a "he said - she said" situation from some back and forth this past evening. I am just aware of how someone was made to feel - after that, arguing the details is irrelevant IMO. Maybe the take-away from this saga is to just keep an eye out and be vigilant. Similar to exactly what you, Filip, have done here. Take up for your fellow collector when necessary and make them feel welcome and supported versus allowing fear and intimidation to creep in. No one should be made to feel uncomfortable - I think we would agree that there is no place for that in our hobby. That David was just making a personal statement against the characters that run this listserv and a recent increase in activity from a certain member. David thought it important to share the fact (maybe not in the best way) that a member had "allegedly" stalked an ever so rare female poster collector to the point where she expressed her own fears, was made totally uncomfortable and even more that she has asked us not to reveal. She had ask this member to leave her alone many times, yet he followed her over to VMPF right after she started posting there. I can imagine when perhaps David felt his conversation with the moderators here were going nowhere, he was sicken by it. There is no reason to tarnish MOPO's credibility if this member should attempt to do the same here - so we should all keep an eye out. David has strong convictions in this matter and was standing up for a wonderful lady (and women in general that face stalking and intimidation) - something I would think many of us would agree is the right thing to do. Especially another gentleman from Texas.
