I am the only "characters" that run this listerv so David's exit was making a personal statement against me? As obviously you are aware, I've had several private e-mail exchanges with David Rew that did not go satisfactorily. Not having any information about this alleged incident and not being a member of the other forums, I asked for details. None were provided. Whatever David expected me to do was not made clear, even though he was asked directly. I'm not sure exactly what his motivation was to bring this issue to MoPo, again he did not make that clear. From my standpoint, it looked like he chose to harass a MoPo member in good standing. I do not appreciate your taking this issue public on MoPo, where nothing has occurred. Now you have our list members upset and in an uproar over this. I am sorry if I am being a tad harsh about this (which is not my style) but I do not wish this to continue. David himself is not completely innocent in this case since he posted a cryptic derogatory public messages about a member of MoPo, which is a violation of our rules of conduct. His decision to leave was his own, I did not ask him to. David expected me to take his account of the incident at his word, with no evidence to back him up. I don't know how anyone would expect me to instantly believe one person over another. That is totally unreasonable. There are 2 sides to every story and I don't make my management decisions on MoPo without hearing from both. Stalking is a strong accusation and any harassment is would never be tolerated in this forum. To imply otherwise is false. David thought it important to share the fact (maybe not in the best way) that a member had "allegedly" stalked an ever so rare female poster collector to the point where she expressed her own fears, was made totally uncomfortable and even more that she has asked us not to reveal. She had ask this member to leave her alone many times, yet he followed her over to VMPF right after she started posting there. I can imagine when perhaps David felt his conversation with the moderators here were going nowhere, he was sicken by it. There is no reason to tarnish MOPO's credibility if this member should attempt to do the same here - so we should all keep an eye out. David has strong convictions in this matter and was standing up for a wonderful lady (and women in general that face stalking and intimidation) - something I would think many of us would agree is the right thing to do. Especially another gentleman from Texas.
