Hi Sam I have been selling quite a lot to the UK through eBay over the last month. eBay automatically adds the VAT to the total amount including postage to all UK transactions (incidentally, many customers don’t realise that the VAT also applies to postage). I have no idea how customs will differentiate between eBay transactions and separate website transactions and how they will work out whether the VAT has been paid or not.
I would be interested to hear how Heritage and Emovieposter are dealing with it.
