Hi,
when i´ve read Pirsig´s first book, it seemed that I had caught a glimpse of a kinder mind, in depth, subject and insight. The narrative was so well constructed that it would not even mess, but integrate with the phylosophical stuff. And the phylosophical discussion was even more emotional and compelling than the rest, and that too was something i saw as significant. In a thought, maybe what´s significant is what is Quality, in the end. Maybe, what we, earthlings might have as the ¨search of the personal treasure¨ as Paulo Coelho puts it, is the search and research of what comes into our lives and touches us, and makes it truly as significant (or more significant as an inner voice might put it) as anything. This little flower on the path would be your property to be put on a chest, but the safest spot, i think, is on the heart, and on the hand. As for the levels, i also do agree. They look just a little mumble-jumble for me. Best, Fernando. ----- Mensagem de [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------- Data: Tue, 24 Jul 2007 05:51:48 -0400 De: MarshaV <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Endereço para Resposta (Reply-To): [EMAIL PROTECTED] Assunto: Re: [Moq_Discuss] [MD] Aristotle & DQ Para: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > At 05:44 AM 7/24/2007, you wrote: >> Fair point, >> but even the words "dynamic" and "quality" are assumptions overlaid >> on that essential source. > > Yes, I agree. > > >> > -----Original Message----- >> > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >> > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of MarshaV >> > Sent: 24 July 2007 10:41 >> > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >> > Subject: Re: [Moq_Discuss] [MD] Aristotle & DQ >> > >> > >> > >> > From, 'A brief summary of the Metaphysics of Quality' >> > by Robert Pirsig October 2005 >> > >> > "The Metaphysics of Quality, or MOQ, is simply a philosophic answer >> > to the question of what is Quality, or worth, or merit, or value, or >> > betterness or any of the other synonyms for good.
