Hi Ron, All:

Awhile back, Ron wrote:

"MOQ discussion, talk about your oxymoron. That little snip from Pirsig's
paper should highlight the ultimate paradox of this e-mail discussion
group."

Such paradoxes, inherent in S/O thinking, ought to be enough to raise the
question, "What is wrong with S/O thinking that puzzling paradoxes crop up?

Of course, like other anomalies in our S/O worldview, the tendency to
ignore them prevails. Why rock the boat?

But for the inquisitive few, Pirsig's value metaphysics supplies the
necessary insight. The paradox of this discussion group dissolves when one
shifts his focus from the S/O paradigm to the MOQ view that what is most
important and most real about this group is not its discussion but its
goodness.

Regards,
Platt
