I haven't fished for months. I've canoed, walked,
and made some fires, but not fished. I feel like
fishing.
Each cast is an improvisation. The water current,
the depth of the hole, overcast, sunny, access, did it
rain last night, oh a cliff's on this side of the
creek - should I cross the creek or walk up and around
the cliff and stay on this side of the creek, tree's,
branches, rocks, hey little black-capped
chick-a-dee's, chilly, bends, look deer!, the trees
are tall here, green hemlock needles, shuffle in the
dried leaves, oh, yeah, and the fish!
