collaborative stuff! wonderful and great for ego abandonment.
I do this quite a bit with other artists in my area.
though I think with Marsha's ability to burn her journals, she
doesn't much have trouble with ego abandonment (hope you don't mind my
quick jumping in here on this, marsha...)

Marsha - liked your observations about going off into the cave to work.

sometimes I think that being able to create my art (paint & photograph)
is one of the only things that makes everything about my
'sense of self and being' seem most real and at peace and at
the same time it's hard BUT so rewarding when I can REALLY get
at the truth of what I'm experiencing and represent it visually.

I think that's all I really need to do - get at these truths for myself
only; there is an ego gratification when someone else feels
rewarded by looking at my work - which is nice AND it seems
important - in a way - to create something that not only
has communicated my own truths to myself, but also some
universal truths to other people.

I think that learning more about a soul searching journey through the
exploration of art is important in a universal way - so to attempt
to share my work with others in an effort to communicate something
REAL is important to me.

Doesn't the Dalai Lama say it's important to SHARE what we
know with each other - (and I know this is a very broad generalization -
we have to share what we know without being arrogant or without attempting
to provoke jealousy or over intellectualizing) it's about sharing
love and something positive about the human journey with each other
I think.

Happy Thanksgiving to all as well!

Margaret
