Hi Steve David M: Age 43, married 20 years, no children, living in North of England, manager in large financial services company, born working class, always been devoted to gaining a decent education, started history of science and belief degree part time, then did intellectual history full time at 23, main hobby reading lots of books, european films, also music punk to opera, like Arlo also like Twin Peaks, special interests post-modern and continental philosophy, philosophy of science, politics, follow no religion, never been to church, decided academic career was not for me, neither teaching or writing for journals no one reads appealed to me in my twenties, always intended to write but seem to keep studying instead -so far at least, apart from one novel (never published called Secret of Matter) but one favourable response from a publisher suggested I read ZAMM as my book covered much of the same ground, when we try to think I suggest we make an effort to stay as close to experience as we can, but to fill in the gaps we have to do metaphysics or is it meta-phenmenology/experience, and also imagination to construct what we might call a broader perspective.
