Steve:
When you say "from the start" are you referring to reading Lila or
reading my post?

Steve:
An easy quiz...
1. What sort of pattern is it when balls fall after being dropped?
2. What sort of pattern is it when animals breathe in and out?
3. What sort of pattern is it when new acquaintances shake hands?
4. What sort of pattern is it when a cue ball strikes another ball and
we conclude that the cue ball caused the other ball to move?

These patterns are all inferences that are easy to see as patterns.
What I think you may mean is how can look at our own experience and see
different value patterns at work. That is not easy.

A harder quiz...
What type of pattern of value are you participating in when you choose
the healthy drink rather than a soda at the vending machine? Is the
social status of drinking one drink or another driving your preference?
Is it all about the the taste of it? Is it the cost? Is it about the
need for energy? Have you made a rational decision weighing the pros
and cons of each drink? Do these pants make my butt look fat?

Regards,
Steve
