SA: I would also like to point out that Cobain realized the 'looking into life too much', the 'too much reasoning', and thinking everything must have some kind of meaning. Which he attributes this to some of his songs were people would ask 'what's this mean', 'what's that mean', etc..., and he thought people thought too much into some of what he wrote so he would throw words into his songs, at times, that was purely babbeling and didn't mean anything such as from 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'
"A mulatto An albino A mosquito My Libido Yay!" SA continues: And further in the song: "And I forget just why I taste Oh yeah, I guess it makes me smile I found it hard, it was hard to find Oh well, whatever, nevermind" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=soiffolOj5k&feature=related SA continues: hey if it makes you smile - follow your bliss, sometimes, thinking too much about it, is not doing anything at all, - SA (now) SA continues: Here's another song called "School" by Nirvana. I remember when I first heard this, and I thought - Yeah! I remember ninth grade and wondering when recess would be. I soon found out high school doesn't have recess, and this kind of mentality reaches into the culture at large. Who goes to work and has a moment for recess? To run around and have fun. Sounds wierd, but I find it pertinent and reflective of today's culture, especially for those that find work, work, work, is the only good way. I'm talkin' about the work that makes the $, but this is the rat race mentality. Here's the the lyrics: "Won't you believe it It's just my luck No recess You're in high school again" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNbEuMcm-Rg&feature=related SA continues: Yeah, this song has a lot of music, not many words. raining, pitter, patter, pitter, patter, pitter, patter, pitter, patter, mumbo-jumbo, SA ____________________________________________________________________________________ Never miss a thing.
