[Krimel] I don't know about my cosmic purpose but like Steve Martin's character in "The Jerk" I found my "special purpose" at an early age. About all I have to say about that I said earlier to Ron, "Thank God for the internet!"
[Arlo] As I mentioned to Ian recently, my favorite spin on this is the Despair.com poster for "Mistakes": "It could be that the purpose of your life is only to serve as a warning to others." [Krimel] I get confused a lot. If collectivists and nihilists are the same, were Jesus and his disciples nihilists? [Arlo] I don't think the Boogeyman crowd gives this the thought you do. ;-) [Krimel] Or couldn't the cosmos have a purpose but we have none? [Arlo] Right. Or maybe our only "purpose" is to decompose into fossil fuel for a future, but yet non-existent, species. [Krimel] I want to know what good is a purpose if you have to have the special decoder ring to figure it out? [Arlo] I asked my Magic 8 Ball what my purpose is, it said "mu". [Krimel] And Arlo, don't you think Ham ought to tell us his denomination? I find it odd that he keeps ducking that one. I used to be a Presbyterian. I could still be one if I could get up that early on weekends. [Arlo] Well, its certainly not Buddhist.
