Hi Ian As ever, such criticism is always directed at those who seem to be in some kind of conceptual flat land, there are always some people thinking more creatively. Taylor takes 800 pages to look at the thinkers who seem to be stuck with such self-imposed limits and how these might be broken out of. Taylor questions the seamlessness of links between secularism, modernity, science, reason and the distance placed between this and religion and social/political change.
