I probably get what I deserve in talking to you and the spirit from the Woods, I have questioned some of Pirsigs points and can't appeal to his books for support, but ZAMM's Greek part - how SOM emerges - is one of the most convincing and penetrating analyses I know of, and there I think Pirsig hit the nail on the head. It describes how humankind rose from the social mythological level to the intellectual level by their new-fangled search for eternal principles that eventually became the notion of truth. That truth necessarily must be objective resulted in their looking back upon the said social-mythological past as superstitious and ignorant (read: subjective) Logical rules like 2+2=4 are given even animals can calculate in a most elementary way, and to my knowledge computers are hard-wired along three logical gates a bit more complicated that that (can't remember just now what they are) To question the most elementary MOQ tenets and start on wildly different tracks that have no MOQ bearing or meaning is a complete waste of time. Talk with the Spirit he thinks highly of you.
