[Ron] 2. What is a pattern? [Ron]: If you do not mind my answering you inquiry, I will attempt to follow Pirsigs logic. [Ron] Patterns are experience. Patterns are Quality. [Ron] Experience is expressed intellectually per MoQ, As static experience or "SQ" and dynamic experience Or "DQ". [Ron] By understanding that this split is intellectual MoQ Solves the Mind/Matter paradox it does not exist In experience, it only exists intellectually. [Ron] By placing empirical certainty on pre-intellectual Experience, MoQ is more certain than objectivism Which places certainty in intellectualism. [Ron] By using DQ/SQ in lieu of S/O we are able to View reality as a whole in motion rather than A static solid state universe of objects in Space. (Hams negation and Bo's folly). Hi Ron and All, [Joe] What is evolution? Pirsig¹s logic accepts evolution! Does the inorganic by not knowing what evolution is not evolve? Is DQ another name for evolution? SOM divides existence into two aspects, objective existence outside a mind, and intentional existence which the mind creates for the abstracted essence in order to know a thing. There is a lot of evidence that intentional existence, subjectivity, is bogus. We have a direct experience of evolution, a law of order in existence. DQ is undefined. Evolution to the social level is a movement to consciousness, a self-aware being. A level of order though undefined is apprehended in undefined consciousness. The intellectual level evolves when two are in relationship, e.g., man/woman a level of law. Further evolution of consciousness only seems to have occurred historically, enlightenment, heroes! etc. MOQ meta-level?
