Hi All:

Over the years I've collected a number of random thoughts that I thought
were worth saving. Here are some of them -- perhaps a few of interest.

A philosophy without humor means something is missing.

In America, the individual, not the government, is king.

Art: an outward expression of the spirit within.

If a child could do it, it isn't art.

Besides the energy of physics, there's psychic energy and a value force.

The brain is a good lawyer designed to rationalize and win arguments.

Basic freedom -- control of your attention.

Critical thinking and rational analysis are ideologies.

Force behind evolution: "It's better here."

Government is handcuffs and guns.

Great paradox: eternally separate but never apart.

Wants and needs are values.

Language is simultaneously means (sounds, scratches) and meanings.

Means vs. meanings: Does and Ipod improve the music?

People believe what makes them feel good to believe.

Obama: full of great ways for others to improve without cost to himself.

Problems only exist if you want to solve them.

Reason can't handle beginnings: Who made God?

To others you are just another experience.

Matter organized itself, then reproduced itself, then represented itself.

We divide to survive. First division: Yes - No.

You cannot conceive of a world in which nothing is better than anything
else.

Best,
Platt
