hiya,
the 60s heralded a new age for humanity. for the first time the idea of a
democracy of enlightened human beings became something of a reality. the 60s
live with us today...for weeks the french have been examining the 40year legacy
of 68 and the cultural hold it still retains. the conservative govt is still
railing against the revolt of 68, revealing the watershed that this time was.
you could say the battle was lost (true of the 60s generally) but the war was
changed for ever.
now we are trying to find our way through a time of unprecendented change. we
are unable to find any anchor - any ideology or static belief - that can guide
us through these troubled waters...we are left with the only true guide we ever
have - or own authenticity.
i teach schoolchildren in the garden - how to plant, propagate, harvest and
care for plants and trees - how to work with nature. the enthusiasm and joy of
primary school kids is amazing. it is as if they already know what they want
and what is required for a peaceful world, but they need their elders to
recognise the same and help them get there. kids do what their parents teach
them to do - we cannot rely on any other generation - it is up to parents and
teachers to learn from their kids and provide them with the guidance they
require.
we have to come back to the natural world and let it provide for us. we are
never homeless, we are always provided for, we need to align ourselves with the
intelligence inherent in nature...for it is the only authentic deity we have.
all others are abstractions.
we are making the transition to a plant-based economy, which is an
intrinsically healthy, integrating relationship to the natural world.
there is something that happens to people, kids more rapidly, when they spend
time with/in nature. it is an osmotic process. information begins to flow
between human and plant, human and animal, human and fungi, human and microbe;
between gaia and ourselves.
the irruption of a gaian consciousness is the message of the ufo phenomenon.
the ufo is an aspect of consciousness like any other; its seeming objective
reality and its relationship to the projections of the collective unconscious
do not contradict one another - they complement each other. the unconscious can
remain unconscious no more - the hero has to delve deep, he has to go down into
hades - the unconscious - to bring back the knowledge that he and his fellows
require to survive. any enduring culture requires this shamanic service. the
ufo is there to destabilise, to create the uncertainty and wonder necessary to
being open to the mystery.
gaian consciousness can be analogised to the net. we are moving, ineluctably,
to a real-time collective consciousness. the net keeps getting broader and
quicker, eventually becoming like the fungal webs that connect all plants - a
coherent matrix of energy and info transfer.
the new age is the golden age. they have been many before and there will be
more again. the golden age is eden. it is the age of harmony.
the age that precedes the golden age is the age of dissolution, destruction.
the destruction is the destruction of the reified ego.
the giant feeds and feeds on the ego. as the giant is threatened he fights
back. the death of the ego is a transformation for us; it is an end for the
giant however. he will be replaced by gaian consciousness. that is why the shit
is getting thicker by the day...and more obvious. our governemnts and
corporations - the giant's vassals - are still holding on to the same entropic
strategies....ironically ensuring their own demise as more and more individuals
are forced into taking their own lives into their own hands.
the key is nature. kids that grow up with trees, space, birds, insects,
animals, sun, moon, wind and rain....these kids will never be fodder for any
manifestation of the giant - cos they lack nothing. they are at home, they are
integrated, they are aware, they are happy.
as voltaire ended candide - you are better off tending your garden than
searching for the truth. the truth is already in front of you.
